About

My name is Ray and I’m currently based in Brooklyn but originally from the City of Lakes, aka Minneapolis. As a producer, sound designer, and storyteller, I’m interested in and passionate about telling place-based stories that exist at the intersections of food/agriculture, race, science and environment. I’ve been deeply influenced by growing up in a place covered in fresh water and I like to think my work is inspired by water in its many forms.

In my past lives, I’ve been a food justice advocate, podcast curator, knife sharpener and cultural anthropologist, among other things. For fun, I like to ferment things, hike, go on long canoe trips, watch birds, and play board games. Most days, I can also be found digging around my community garden.

If you have a project you think I’d be a good fit for, don’t hesitate to reach out!
